| Salt-pans in Sri Lanka The water from the sea is lifted 15 to 20 centimetres only, but at the same time, a large flow is required. It raises between 10 and 20 m3/h. A calculation shows that it is equal to 4 to 10 watt. The big scoop is heavy. The weight creates a sort of flywheel for the device. The exposure of the photo was 1/1000 second.
